The Chrysalis Lighthouse was designed by Lumiere Duvoll in memory of his only remaining family- his Half-Orc daughter who lost her life to violence at a young age. Designed to resemble a butterfly's chrysalis which she was always fascinated by, he made it to be a symbol of hope to future generations for peace, as well as hope for sailors on the dark and foggy nights.
It's pinnacle is over 1500 feet from it's base. It is all that remains of an ancient cliff-line off the coast. Carved from the very remaining pillar of stone, it spirals up. Polished by thousands of hands over almost a generation, its exterior is polished smooth. During the day, the natural colours in the rock- greys, blues and greens and accented by the sunlight, making the lighthouse a pillar of colour.
At night, the silhouette of the lighthouse is broken by the intense light not far from it's top. The torch room is over 100 feet in diameter, only a narrow footpath goes around the room, circling the massive cauldron filled with alchemists fire. The light is captured and directed by mirrors, lenses and magnifiers which cast it's cautionary light over the rocks and sea.
