Player Name: Mishiko
Character Name: Ryelle Debois
Gender: Female
Age: 243
Race: Elf
Class: Inquisitor
Level: 1
Alignment: Lawful Evil
[ b]Deity:[/b] Iron
Appearance: Ryelle is an elf, and as such, she has the much of the same features that all elves do. Yes, her ears are pointed, her face is angular, her body long and lithe. All of these traits can be found in most if not all elves. However, she also has some unique features and those she prefers to highlight and accentuate to her advantage.
Ryelle is a female elf, and while it can often be difficult to tell male elves from female elves, she makes sure there is no such difficulty with her. She prefers to wear tight clothing that very obviously show off her feminine form. She doesn't go so far to be immodest, but there can be no doubt she is a female. She does this because as an elf she's already fairly attactive to most races. Throw in her very obvious feminine body, and she often leaves men gawking stupidly and willing to answer her every question for a brief touch. A very useful skill when she's interrogating them.
Ryelle has long, cornsilk blonde, straight hair that she usually wears down or in a loose braid. This is mostly done for the same reason she has for wearing tight clothes. She just doesn't want there to be any doubt that she's a female. So yes, her hair is a bit longer than normal, and she akes great care to keep it shiny, smooth, and soft.
She has dark, deep, brown eyes that can either seem warm and caring or make you quake and shiver. There's no doubt she's highly intelligent when you look in her eyes. They just seem to be brimming with sharp wit and bustling thoughts. It's amazing how much a person's eyes can say, and hers are no different. A slight narrowing of them can tell you that you've made her mad or an arched eyebrow can tell you that you've surprised her by not being an idiotic monkey.
There's really only one other facet to Ryelle's unique apparance. Everything else about her is aerage elven traits that she hasn't bothered to change, but if you look at her, you probably won't be thinking average elf woman. Part of this is because of the large scar on the right side of her face. The scar starts above the middle of her left eyebrow and streaks across her forehead where it then curls around her right eye and ends around her right jaw bone, almost to her chin. To be honest, she doesn't even know where the scar came from. She assumes it happened during a fight of some sort. All she knows for certain is she was found in the forest with a gash and awoke in the care of a cleric. Of course, she could have the scar removed by magical means, but she prefers to keep it. If her good looks and charisma fail her, she can always intimidate people.

Personality:
Ryelle is very much an introvert. Contrary to what many people think, being introverted does not automatically make you shy. It just means you tend to think about things before you do them. In her case, Ryelle doesn't so much think as she intuitively knows the best course of action. Then she acts according to how she feels and also how it will affect her goals.
She can be very warm and caring when she wants to be, which is usually only towards her close friends and family. Towards strangers and especially enemies, she can seem to be downright cruel and evil, though she will always deny that she's in the slightest bit evil. The world around her is full of hidden meanings and possibilities. The tip of a hat can send her mind reeling with questions and wonderings, even if it was a perfectly innocent gesture of greeting. Ryelle herself is very secretive. Often she doesn't tell anyone her plans until just the right time. She has developed a series of seemingly meaningless gestures to suit her situation, so none outside of the know can know what she's saying.
She's a very orderly elf. Everything has a proper time and place with her. For something to be done elsewhere, it would likely mess up her plans. This tends to make her quite angry because she takes things in intuitively. She instinctually knows things and is usually right about them. If someone were to mess up her plans by doing something out of its proper time and place, it might cause great disaster and devastation. So yes, she can be stubborn and a control freak simply because she strongly believes she knows the best way. You're generally better off just trusting her. Really, do you want to go against an elf who will have no qualms with beheading you if you get in her way, not to mention she'll likely be right anyways? The only aspect of her life that is not orderly is her journal, which is full of hastily jotted down notes and little scribbles.
Ryelle is very protective of her inner self, what she thinks and how she feels. She'll share only what she wants to when she wants to with who she wants to. As a result, she can be difficult to understand. She is very sensitive to conflict and cannot tolerate it very well. When conflict breaks out, she usually uses her authority to end it either by arresting or killing the cause. If the conflict doesn't stop there, she can quickly become angry.
Ryelle is a perfectionist and doubts that she's living up to her full potential. Rarely at peace with herself, she thinks there's always something she should be doing to improve herself and the world around her. She believes in constant growth and doesn't take much time to revel in her accomplishments.
History:
Ryelle was born in a small village south of Kilzanoth. She very rarely ever left the village during her childhood. The main deity of the village was Iron, God of knowledge. As such most of the villagers were very knowledgable in many different things, and they often tried to pass on the knowledge they had to younger generations. Ryelle was actually apprenticed to a Geography scholar. While his stories of what happened at each place were exciting, she found the tales of how he got there and the lay of the land to be excessively boring and failed to retain much knowledge in Geography.
Shortly after Ryelle ended her Geography apprenticeship, she started volunteer work at the Monastery of Iron. It started out as simply a way to pass the time until she figured out what she really wanted to do with her life. While she had always believed in the god, she soon found her faith in Iron growing immeasurably the more time she spent at the monastery. Finally, she gathered up her nerve and asked The Voice of Iron what she could do to serve the god. The Voice told her he would ask Iron and get back to her in a few weeks. For the next few weeks, she sat in mostly meditative states, fasting for several days on end. Her destiny was about to be revealed to her, and she knew she would readily take on whatever Iron dictated of her. Finally, The Voice summoned her back and told her of Iron's response. The god wanted her to be an Inquisitor for him, to seek out those who didn't believe and those who committed crimes against him. Ryelle was very pleased with this mission and left the village the very next day to learn how to be an Inquisitor.
For many decades, Ryelle trained and studied at the Inquisitorial College in Kilzanoth. There were many other Inquisitors-in-Training there, though they were usually for different gods. Still, Ryelle learned a lot in her time there, like how to fight with her chosen weapon, how to deal with heretics and nonbelievers, how and when to ask for divine help and what to ask for, and most importantly how to make the things she can do work for her. She also decided to take a class on how to perform oratory because she thought it would be useful to know how to give long speeches eloquently. After several long decades of study, Ryelle returned home to the Monastery of Iron.
Over the next few decades, life became very busy for Ryelle. Inbetween traveling the countryside and trying to convince people to join Iron's church, she met another elf, fell in love, and got married. Her partner was a cleric for Iron, and they traveled together for many years until Ryelle had their first child. Ryelle had little choice but to leave her partner and child to continue her work while her partner stayed at home. Of course she didn't like it and tried not to travel very far. Maybe she should have thought more about traveling farther away because as the years progressed, Ryelle and her partner welcomed two more little elves to their family.
Shortly after the birth of her third child, Ryelle decided it wouldn't be so bad if she traveled further away from home. For a long while, she went about the countryside alone, converting other elves to the faith of Iron. Of course, she still spent as much time with her family as possible, but she no longer felt the need to be with them 24/7. Her partner often worried about her traveling alone and so far away though, but she felt his worry was a bit silly. It turned out he was very right to worry.
During one of Ryelle's long trips, she was apparently attacked by some monster. Miraculously, a cleric found her and saved her life. She remembers nothing of the attack and only regained consciousness át the cleric's home after several days of being on the edge of death. She returned home immediately, knowing she would heal much faster if a cleric of Iron helped her. The strange cleric followed her back as a safeguard.
Shortly after returning home, Ryelle started feeling unwell emotionally. She was easier to anger and often found her thoughts drifting towards horrible places. She also started using some of her more morbid divine gifts a lot more than she normally would. At first, she thought she might be pregnant again as that can do weird things to a woman. She wasn't though, and without a reliable excuse, her friends and family started pointing out her attitude shifts. Eventually, things became so bad that her partner and she started taking marriage counseling. Being lawful made her want to stay married and committed to her vows, even though she no longer felt love for her partner. Then one night, while her partner was doing his customary detect evil for their youngest child before bed, Ryelle came up as an evil hotspot. While she managed to convince him and her child that the spell had been faulty, she started to worry and wonder that maybe it hadn't.
In an effort to protect her partner and children from any potential evil, she fled under the presumption of work. The strange cleric followed her, desiring to be her heirling because his god had told him to. While Ryelle still tried to convert people to Iron, her main cause for travel was to find out if she truly had turned evil, and if so, how had she become evil and how could she return to her lawful neutral self. As for the cleric who was determined to travel with her, he seemed to be fine. He did his job of healing her and such. He would even carry her heavy pack for her, and when she complained of having to walk, he found her a nice horse.
In more recent times, Ryelle has had to set aside her personal mission to return home. It seems some holy symbols have gone missing from the Monastery of Iron, and The Voice of Iron wants her to find them and bring them back.
